Hair re-do

So, i'm trying to thinkof something fun to do with my hair because its been the same color for a really long time now... but the thing is, i like the color and i think it matches my skin tone really really well, so i don't want to change it.

i thought for like 2 seconds about getting a perm - that would be something i could change that isnt the color. but then I realized that this is 2010 and that i would look like shit with frizzy curly hair - even if it was just wavy, curls are just not for me.

So then I goggled hairstyles, watched tv to look at hair, looked at all the hair in the magazines I have laying around the house, and I think I found a solution to mix it up.

This is Stacy London - she's on What Not to Wear on TLC tv channel - some of you may have seen it. she ahs a gray streak in her hair. At first i thought she looked like a skunk and used to yell at the TV "get your gray streak fixed!!!!!" but then I realized that its pretty cool - it gives her personal style and it could be a really fun look - even in another color.

Now, I've seen those weirdo kool-aid color streaks that goth people buy from hot topic, and I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about actually dying a streak in my real hair... i don't do fake hair (weaves, wigs, no thanks - ahahahahah) So - what color do you think i should go with? i'm thinking i might totally rock stacy's look and go for GRAY! no one els i know has that, so i'd be an original - and that is alawys a fashion Do.

rain rain go away

So, anyone who lives in New Orleans knows that it rains alllll the time here in the summer.. some people by glasohes or rainboots or however you say it, but i hate those things. they make it look like everyone has cankles, and no one likes a girl with cankles - right?
so - here's my idea: Super High Heels! you can walk through the water without your feet getting wet if they're up on 4 inch stilettos. You could get platforms or wedges, but then your shoes would get wet, too, and then they might start to smell, which is like the most disgusting thing EVER. if you just wear really high heels, then only the heel part goes in the water, and that's usually made of plastic, anyway - so it doesn't matter if it gets wet.

Here's a picture of some ridiculous Lamborghini stilletos, which are a little ghetto, but kinda cute in there own way... and they could definetly handle some crazy ass rain!

Also - people who roll up there jeans when it's raining really need to get a clue.
1. it's not 1994 anymore
2. why are you wearing jeans in the rain anyway? if they get wet, they'll shrink up and suffocate your legs - i saw it on Mythbusters (hahahahaah - i know what ur thinking - "cammie, you don't watch mythbusters" - but i do watch it when i'm with a guy who wants to watch it)
3. int he summer, most girls should be in cute dresses or shorts anyway. stop wearing jeans and you wont' have to worry about them getting wet in the rain

Now - everyone's problems are solved!

fashion inspiration

so - this may seem silly, but hear me out. i really think Peggy Bundy was ahead of her time as far as fashion goes. look in your closet now and think of Peggy's closet:
- leggings? yes mam!
- big belts? absolutely
- fun shoes with a heel? def
- volume mousse for your hair? of course

Everyone today is rocking Peggy bundy style without even knowing it. Sometimes when i want to look xtra cute or sexy, ithink "would peggy wear this?" and if the answer is yes, then i know i'm taking the right kind of fashion risk. it sounds crazy because she's kind of old and from the 90s, but retro is back, people - you'll see peggy-esk stuff all over Cosmo and Vogue. trust me!

who do you think will be the fashion icons 10 years from now? i'm guessing Guliana from E!

fur all year!

soooo... everyone knows that fur is the best wayt o keep warm in the winter. i can't afford real fur coats, but one day whenim rich, i totally will go to the fur department at sax fifth ave and buy a nice rabbit fur like this:

until then, i stick with fake fur that i get from jc penney (shhh... our secret!) and i want to go out on a limm and say that you can wear fur alllllll year round - specially if its a short coat like the one above. it would look so sexy with short shorts and stilettos on a summer night - and youd defnitely stand out in a crowd.

so if you have a fur coat, bring it out of the closet and get ur use out of it - evennow. if you dont have a fur, go get one!!!!! nothing says class like fur - and to be able to rock it in the summer means you don't care what anyone thinks, and that fancy itmes are for use always... bad ass!

His Shirt

Everyone know that guys think its a turn/on for there girlfriend to walk around the bedroom in nothing but his shirt. Well dont stop their ladies! I have taken this look to the streets. You can look fun and wear a men's medium dress shirt for a "fun night on the town". Or wear a mens small dress shirt if you really want to spice things up for a "hot night on the town", (just remember to not wear any pants or shorts)! If you want to bring this look to a fancy and classy place, like a Red lobster or something, then you wnat to wear a mens large dress shirt so that it will cover up a little more to retain that elegant look, but its still very important to not wear any botoms cause this will ruin the total effect! Remember to always have sooo much fun!

Go get him girls!!!

shoes in the summer

ok, so i have a lot to ssay about shoes, especiallyi n the summer when everyone thinks its ok to just wear flip flops all the time, which is so suptid because summer is the best time to wear really cute shoes and sandales and wedges.

i think girls shouldnt be aloud to wear flip flops with dresses unless they have atleast a little bit of a heel and they have to match the dress or coordinte with it. i think its totally fun to wear shoes that are a different color than your dress, but still work with it - you know? like if you had on a pool blue dress you could wear lime green shoes if they aren't ugly like pumps, but maybe lime green or yellow strappy sandals.

i mean, you dont have to be all matchy matchy like blue dress = blue shoes, because then youll look like an old lady with all matching everything (not cute, ladies). but have fun with color - after all, it's summer!!!

example of not cute lime green shoes that no one shuld wear:

example of totally cute lime green summery shoes that you could wear with a fun dress:

those are manolos, tho - so its not like could afford them, but if you can, then you should get the cuter ones!!
xoxo. cam cam.

First one!
